Our journey is not a concept.
It’s a life that unfolded—slowly, unexpectedly, and intentionally.
We are an intergenerational couple, separated by 32 years of age. We are an interracial couple, coming from different racial and cultural backgrounds. And we are an international couple, shaped by different countries, histories, and ways of seeing the world.
None of this was planned as a statement.
It simply happened—because connection doesn’t ask permission from convention. Chris was born in Sloughsburg, New York, a small village that shaped his grounding, perspective, and lived experience over decades. His life carries the weight of time, lessons learned, and a long view of what truly matters.
Candy was born in Lomé, Togo, West Africa, raised primarily by her mother and deeply influenced by her grandmother. Her upbringing blended maternal strength, ancestral wisdom, and cultural resilience. Though her father was not physically present in daily life, he remained in the background, contributing to her education and future—forming a different, but meaningful, presence.
Our paths began worlds apart—geographically, culturally, and generationally.
Yet what brought us together wasn’t similarity. It was alignment.
Our relationship works not because we ignore our differences, but because we respect them. We communicate. We listen. We adapt. We grow—together.
We live our life openly because we know how powerful representation can be. When people see something real working—something that wasn’t “supposed” to work—it quietly expands what they believe is possible for themselves.
This journey is ongoing.
And it’s meant to be lived, not explained.
Our vision is a world where connection is no longer confined by outdated rules.
We envision a future where love is not questioned because of age, race, or origin—where relationships are evaluated by how they function, not how they appear. A future where people feel free to build lives that reflect who they are now, not who they were told to be.
We want to normalize what is often labeled “unconventional” by showing it lived well, calmly, and without apology.
